The professionalism and efficiency of the staff was excellent and the room was impeccably clean and functional. The people in the neighboring room were horrible. They were loud, rude, and oblivious to the hours in which others were sleeping. They were clearly involved in drugs and there were some "questionable" people who came around. Motel 6, you were wonderful but your guests made us nervous.
I booked a night's stay here as a sensible option prior to heading to Sequoia to camp, meeting a friend from SF (I'm from LA). My friend got there before me (around 9:30pm) and I couldn't get there until 11:30 (due to work and traffic). The front desk would not let my friend (who was very tired after a 4 hour drive) into the room since the reservation was under my name. No matter how much we tried to reason with them, they wouldn't do it. I couldn't cancel and rebook since the booking was non-refundable. So, I pulled over on the way up and changed the reservation to book under his name (I have the confirmation email saying so). The front desk (the man's name was Jay) still wouldn't check him in because they didn't see the change in their system. When I got there, my friend was sleeping in his car, and we were both very upset prior to what was supposed to be a relaxing weekend. I've never experienced anything like this at any other accommodation - the lack of service and willingness to help was astounding. I will never stay at a Motel 6 again.
Super clean and updated, very nice desk service. I wish the free coffee was larger than 8 oz. The fridge and microwave are handy. The location is right off the freeway and 5 minutes from downtown, very convenient. Fyi the rooms do not have shampoo or conditioner.
The room was nice and clean, but after going out for an hour to the store I had come back to red ants in my room. I didn’t report it cause they were only based on the table and around the tv and it was so late I didn’t want to switch rooms since my son was already asleep. But the front desk guy was really nice...
I am employee of motel 6 franchise at different location I stayed at other motel 6s when I'm on vacation and this location was the worst. I made a reservation and was told I could use my discount just bring the proper paperwork And when I got there they said they were a franchise and choose to accept discount upon arrival depending on availability. And denied my employee discount. If I was told I couldn't use my discount I could have gone to a different location. And when checking it they told me they didn't have the 1bed I made a reservation for and gave me a 2 bed which was more and didn't give me the cost for the 1bd for the 2bed. And when I got to the room the top cover was wet like they only clean the spots that we're dirty. The bathtub and toilet were still dirty the counter was sticky. And the fire alarm went off when I turned on the heater. I disliked this location. The only good this was that they had microwaves and fridge in the room. I will not go back to this location.
