This area has gotten better over the years. There are a couple of great restaurants at the oval, and they've recently improved the park with a playground and other structures. I feel comfortable walking around here including night time. It features the biggest Christmas tree in town during the holidays. It does have a higher amount of homeless than other parks in Visalia but there are homeless everywhere in Visalia now. In my opinion it's just a park where Mexican men play cards, with some homeless, but nothing threatening or dangerous.
The oval park is not relaxing nor peaceful but surrounded by bums and dope fiends so keep this real dont lie to the public .It's not safe for children or ladies it's all types of conivin and the oval park don't look nothing like that picture I'll take a real picture of the oval and show you.
Not a place to go . thats where the homeless stay during the day.
The photo is a joke. That picture is not even from VISALIA! This is the worst park in Visalia and insanely sketchy. Don't risk your car or your family in this area.
Agree with previous reviews, most of the photos are not even of the park. Also this is a great spot to go, if you're trying to get illegal substances or just feel like getting robbed. Needless to say this is not a place you'd want to bring your children or Family.
