Would be a five star.... but absolutely the worse chips ever!!!!' Too bad as salsa is amazing. Won't eat there again and sharing how awful the chips are.
One day my mom and I were running errands and we decided to stop somewhere for lunch. I have grown up with authentic Mexican food and my favorite item to order when I go to a Mexican restaurant is the shrimp cocktail. When I received it I was disappointed. The cocktail didn't taste right and there was no avocado. When I ordered some avocado they brought some overly salted "guacamole". None of the food tasted authentic and my mom hated the food. My mom is Mexican. The interior is very nicely decorated and the waitress was very nice. My mom and I were very hungry and had high hopes for this place but we ended up disappointed.
We eat at Las Palmas just about once a month and the host is really good their food is real good and great atmosphere they don't have any hard liquor drinks but they do have beer and a music jewel box try it out
Not as good as when I was growing up. Food is still pretty good but there is a lot of downtown competition now, really the place could use a makeover, maybe redo the menus... but still a fan of their house dressing!
There is no other Mexican restaurant in this town as far as I'm concerned. Las Palmas is the best. Right downtown on Main St. Best Mexican food I've ever had, and I've lived in New Mexico! Service is quick and efficient, with plenty of room for a large party, or a discreet table for 2.
